A Statement Regarding the Tragedy in Our Grand Blanc Community
Grand Blanc Township, Mich. -- Our Henry Ford Genesys Hospital team has cared for 10 people injured in the shooting and fire at a nearby church this morning-5 with gunshot wounds and 5 suffering from complications from smoke inhalation. We are grateful for and proud of our team - some of whom attend this church - as they continue to provide expert and compassionate care under the most heartbreaking of circumstances.
Our hearts go out to our patients, their families, and our Genesee County community-including the people worshipping when the tragic act of violence occurred. Counselors and spiritual care providers are offering confidential support and counseling services for our patients and team members.
