Thousands of people will converge on downtown Tampa on Saturday, October 4th to enjoy a vivacious blend of music, festivals, sports, and other activities. Drivers in and around Downtown should expect busy roads, limited on-street parking, and higher than usual pedestrian activities.
The events drawing the most attention include (but aren't limited to):
⦁ Marco Antonio Solis concert at Benchmark International Arena at 8 PM
⦁ Tampa Bay Sun Soccer Game at Riverfront Stadium at 7:30PM
⦁ Beats on the Street at Water Street at 3PM
⦁ Tampa Mimosa Land Music Festival at Curtis Hixon Park at 12 PM
Visitors and residents alike are encouraged to consider using alternative modes of transportation whenever possible - including the FREE TECO Line Streetcar, DASH service, HART buses, rideshare options, and rentable scooters.
NOTE: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be temporarily closing the I-275 Downtown Tampa Interchange at 12:01AM Saturday, October 4th through 5AM Monday, October 6th. Electronic message boards and temporary signage will assist drivers traveling around the interchange via the posted detour routes. Drivers should expect delays and congestion. Be sure to leave early and use your preferred navigation app to view any potential delays travel during the closure.
