Lima Memorial Foundation's INSIGHT Event Showcases Women's Health Services

The Lima Memorial Foundation and Patient and Family Advisory Council hosted an INSIGHT event on October 21, giving guests an inside look at the Lima Memorial Women's Health Center and the wide range of services throughout the Medical Park. Attendees toured the Women's Health Center, met with medical professionals and leadership and learned about available health resources and innovative technology close to home.

"It's important that women know the resources available to them, whether they're facing breast cancer or may be at increased risk," shared Dr. Darlene Weyer, Medical Director of the Lima Memorial Women's Health Center. "We want women to know they don't have to navigate this journey alone. Our team is here to provide guidance, support and compassionate care to help them through challenging times and stay healthy at every stage of life."

Attendees also learned about the new High-Risk Breast Clinic being established at the Women's Health Center through the generosity of donors in the community. The clinic will connect women at increased risk for breast cancer with personalized screening, prevention strategies and specialized care. Guests also explored other Medical Park services, including primary care, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, radiation oncology and cardiology.

Through INSIGHT events, the Lima Memorial Foundation helps community members gain a better understanding of the role philanthropy plays in advancing local health care.
