Centennial's Tree Program Now Open for 2026

The City of Centennial's Tree Program is back, offering residents an opportunity to embrace the joys of tree planting while contributing to the community's energy conservation, water preservation and the promotion of tree diversity. Starting February 10, residents may reserve one tree per household from a selection of nine tree varieties for $85 (plus tax). Trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Before Purchasing a Tree

Review the program highlights and requirements:

  • Tree Specifications: Trees are approximately 5-8 feet tall, with a 3/4"-1" trunk diameter, and weigh under 30 pounds.
  • Eligibility & Planting Location: Trees must be planted on residential private property within Centennial City limits.
  • Warranty Disclaimer: Trees are not guaranteed; however, all trees are selected and grown for compatibility with Centennial's climate and soil conditions.
  • Resident Care: Participants are responsible for pickup, planting, watering, pruning and long-term maintenance.
  • Tree Pickup Event: Tree pickup will take place on Saturday, April 18, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the Centennial Civic Center (13133 E. Arapahoe Rd.) Review the Preparation and Planting Instructions(PDF, 88KB)to help ensure successful planting.

Reserving a Tree

Tree reservations are available online beginning February 10. Residents may reserve one tree per household while supplies last at centennialco.gov/trees.
