Growing Tropical Fruits Workshop
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (March 27, 2026) - A workshop focused on growing your own mango and avocado, called "Growing Fantastic Tropical Fruits," will be held Saturday, May 2, from 1-4 p.m. at Centennial Park Recreation Center, located at 1120 Centennial Blvd., in Port Charlotte.
UF/IFAS Extension Charlotte County sponsors this program with Master Gardener volunteer speaker, Phil Sollecito. He will give an in-depth presentation on choosing varieties based on time of ripening, disease resistance, pruning for best fruit production, determining stages of ripeness, and when to pick your ripe fruit.
