Subject to AS 38.95.075, the Northern Regional Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Andrew Brattrud & John George

PROJECT NAME: ADL 421150- Trapping Cabin Permit

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The site is located on Hess Creek approximately 10 miles west of Hess Creek bridge (see attached map).

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Township 10 North, Range 9 West, Section 12, Fairbanks Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Northern Region Land Office (NRO), has received a trapping cabin permit (TCP) application from Andrew Brattrud & John George. The TCP will be in support of trapping related activities. The applicants operate a traplines over 100 miles long by snowmachine. The cabin will provide safety and overnight respite due to the geographical remoteness and distance from emergency services.

REQUESTED TERM: 10 years

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: September 26, 2025

The public is invited to comment on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
