JOHNS CREEK, GA - Congressman Rich McCormick proudly announced the 2025 Congressional Art Competition winners, celebrating the remarkable creativity and talent of high school students from across the district. This year's theme was "Artistic Discovery". Held annually, the competition highlights the artistic achievements of young individuals and fosters a greater appreciation for the arts within the community.
"The level of talent displayed this year was outstanding,"said Congressman McCormick."I am proud of this year's winners and participants. This competition not only showcases artistic excellence but also the powerful voices of our youth as they interpret and express the world around them."
The 2025 winners are:
1st Place: Ezra Appling, Forsyth Central High School - "Three Travelers"
2nd Place:Seonwoo Im, Lambert High School - "Radiance"
3rd Place:Joyce Kim, Johns Creek High School - "Endless Thoughts"
Ezra Appling's first-place artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year, representing the district on a national stage.
Seonwoo Im's second-place piece will be showcased in Congressman McCormick's Washington, D.C. office, while Joyce Kim's third-place work will be displayed at the District Office in Georgia.
The success of this year's competition is a testament to the incredible collaboration behind the scenes. We're especially grateful to our panel of judges, whose thoughtful evaluations and passion for the arts helped bring this event to life. Thank you to the dedicated educators and mentors who nurtured these students' creativity. Without them these events would not be possible.
