Various Lane & Ramp Closures On Routes 59, 99, 152 & 165

Merced County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Routes 59 (SR-59), SR-99, SR-152 and SR-165 in Merced County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 59

  • One-way traffic control at South Fork Black Rascal for pavement work on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

State Route 99

  • Full on-ramp and #3 (right) lane closures from Hammatt Avenue to northbound SR-99 for landscape work beginning Monday, June 8, through Thursday, June 11, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • Full off-ramp closure from northbound SR-99 at Hammatt Avenue for landscape work beginning Tuesday, June 9, through Thursday, June 11, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

State Route 152

  • Alternating lane closures from the Santa Clara/Merced County line to San Luis Grade Crossing for guardrail and utility work beginning Tuesday, June 9, through Thursday, June 11, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

State Route 165

  • Full highway closure from Third Avenue to Canal Drive in Stevinson for a special event on Sunday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
  • Overnight, one-way traffic control at Geer Avenue for traffic signal work beginning Tuesday, June 9, through Thursday, June 11, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. This work also requires a full closure of Geer Avenue (local street.)

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
