I-5/SR-905 Connectors Closed Evenings of August 9-10

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans maintenance crews will intermittently close the following connectors on Sunday, August 9, to Monday, August 10, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for signage work.

  • Westbound State Route 905 (SR-905) connector to northbound Interstate 5 (I-5)
  • Southbound I-5 connector to eastbound SR-905
  • Southbound I-5 connector to westbound SR-905

Caltrans maintenance crews will also intermittently close the following connectors on Sunday, August 9, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for signage work.

  • Northbound I-5 to eastbound SR-905
  • Northbound I-5 to westbound SR-905
  • Eastbound SR-905 connector to northbound I-5
  • Eastbound SR-905 connector to southbound I-5
  • Westbound SR-905 connector to southbound I-5

Northbound I-5 motorists heading to the SR-905 may continue north to the Coronado Avenue off-ramp, turn left to the southbound I-5 on-ramp, and then use either SR-905 connector.

Southbound I-5 motorists may continue south to the Dairy Mart Road off-ramp, head south down W San Ysidro Blvd, then onto the northbound I-5 on-ramp and use the SR-905 connectors.

Eastbound SR-905 motorists headed south may continue east to the Beyer Boulevard to Dairy Mart Road off-ramp, head south on Dairy Mart Road to the southbound I-5 off-ramp.

Eastbound SR-905 motorists headed north can continue eastbound and take the Beyer Blvd to Dairy Mart Road off-ramp, turn right onto Dairy Mart Road to W San Ysidro Blvd, and then use the northbound I-5 entrance stand in front.

Westbound SR-905 motorists heading north will take the southbound I-5 connector, use the Dairy Mart Road off-ramp, turn left onto Dairy Mart Road, turn right onto W San Ysidro Blvd, and use the northbound I-5 on-ramp.

Westbound SR-905 motorists heading south will continue west onto the northbound I-5, then take the Coronado Avenue off-ramp, turn left onto Coronado Avenue, and then take the southbound I-5 on-ramp.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
