Equinor – follow-up of Fram Sør

The audit was conducted from 22 April to 2 July 2026.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to monitor that the project is being carried out in compliance with the HSE regulations, and that Equinor, in their project management and follow-up, and including their suppliers, are setting out, right from the early implementation phase of the project, to reduce risk and to prevent accidents during start-up and in operation.

Result

One non-conformity was identified relating to a lack of independence between the process safety system and the process control system.

In addition, an improvement point was identified relating to omissions in the follow-up of the element management system.

What happens next?

We have asked Equinor to report to us by 1 September 2026 on how the non-conformity will be addressed, and for their assessment of the improvement point observed.
