WVU Alert issued for chemical leak at Agricultural Sciences Building
West Virginia University issued a WVU Alert on Saturday (Oct. 26) following a chemical leak that was reported before 9 a.m. at the Agricultural Sciences Building, located on the Evansdale area of campus.
No injuries were reported.
The building was immediately closed as a precaution and will remain closed until further notice.
Teams from WVU Environmental Health and Safetywere assessing the situation with support from the WVU Police Departmentand other departments and agencies.
A WVU Alert is part of the University's three-tiered emergency notification system.
