Teen Homicide Suspect Arrested Monday For June 2024 Fatal Shooting
After more than a year of investigation into the June 2024 murder of Justin Robinson, 16, in Madison Park on N. Dupont Avenue, TITANS Unit detectives today arrested the suspected
gunman, Jerome Mackey, 18, on a charge of criminal homicide. Coincidentally, Mackey was taken into custody in Madison Park this afternoon. He was armed with a pistol.
Homicide Unit detectives determined Mackey was part of two rival groups from Hunters Lane High School that came across each other in the park on June 12th of last year. Mackey is
alleged to have pulled a gun during the encounter and fired in the direction of Robinson.
Mackey is being booked at juvenile detention because he was 17 at the time of the fatal shooting.
