Washington Avenue bridge in Battle Creek closed starting March 9 for rebuilding

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and contractor C. A. Hull will be closing the M-89 (Washington Avenue) bridge over the Battle Creek River for rebuilding.
The $7.6 million investment includes bridge rebuilding and repairs, approach replacement, drainage improvements, guardrail replacement, signal work, water main relocation and pavement markings.
