STATISTICAL HIGHLIGHTS August 8 - August 15, 2026 Weekly Arrests (Includes cite/released): 55

ROBBERY: On 8/10/2026 at 12:23 PM the victim was making an Amazon delivery near the 800 block of Alonda Ct. when he was approached by a subject who insinuated he had a weapon. The subject demanded the victim's delivery vehicle, and the victim complied out of fear for his safety. Officers later located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested, and the vehicle was recovered. (Report #2026-044104)

ROBBERY: On 8/12/2026 at 10:23 PM the victim was stopped at a red light in her vehicle when a subject shattered her window and stole her purse. A witness captured the incident on a Tesla dashcam, which provided a description of the subject and the getaway vehicle's license plate. The vehicle was entered into stolen vehicle system (SVS) and was later located by the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office in Brentwood. A felony traffic stop was conducted, and the victim positively identified the subjects. The subjects were arrested and transported to the Hayward Police Department Jail. (Report #2026-044453)

VEHICLE RECOVERY: On 8/13/2026 at 10:06 PM officers were alerted to an occupied stolen vehicle and located the vehicle traveling northbound on I-880. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop in San Leandro and detained the driver and passenger. The stolen vehicle was recovered. The driver was arrested for vehicle theft-related charges and outstanding warrants, while the passenger was arrested for outstanding warrants. (Report #2026-043661)
