Overnight Closure of Southbound I-680 to Eastbound I-580 Connector for Emergency Joint Repair June 7 to June 8. 9:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.

Alameda County - Caltrans will perform joint repairs at the I-680/I-580 separation. To safely complete this work, the southbound I-680 to eastbound I-580 connector and an adjacent lane are scheduled to be closed overnight on Sunday, June 7, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Detour:

  • From SB I-680, exit Stoneridge Drive.
  • Left (east) on Stoneridge Drive.
  • Use the right-lane entrance to I-680 North.
  • Continue to the I-680 North → EB I-580 connector ramp to reach eastbound I-580.

Follow posted detour signs. Message boards will be activated along the approach to alert drivers and guide them through the detour.

Be Work Zone Alert and expect travel delays.

Caltrans will update its social media pages on the latest highway conditions, and drivers are encouraged to check out Caltrans Quickmap http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/
