Key Excerpts on Iran and Economic D-Day:
Sen. Jim Banks (R-Ind.): "Economic D-Day has begun, and it's been very effective, combined with the full force of the United States military. Remember that President Trump and our military have already wiped out 85% of Iran's ballistic missiles; we destroyed their defense industrial base, and we set their nuclear ambitions back by a generation. President Trump has put Iran on notice: you will never have a nuclear weapon. We know if Iran has a nuclear weapon, they are going to point it in America, and I don't want my kids to live in an America when Iran has a nuclear weapon."
"Iran has never seen anything yet as they have in the last 24 hours with these economic sanctions. Also remember too that 90% of the oil that flows out of Iran through the straits goes straight to China, our biggest adversary. And President Trump recognizes the big picture here that China cannot benefit from this…This is so significant. History is going to look back and recognize President Trump for doing more than anyone before for bringing peace to the Middle East."
Key Excerpts on the floods in Indiana:
"Indiana was hit hard, but we're coming back, and thanks to President Trump for signing the natural disaster recognition. He called me last Saturday as he was signing it. We are rebuilding; we come together in times like these; but please pray for Indiana. We have a lot of damage, a lot of families impacted; we have a long road ahead of us."
