CIMA appoints Tharindu Wijewardana ACMA (UK), CGMA as Country Head for Sri Lanka

10 June 2025, Colombo - The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), announced today that it has appointed Tharindu Wijewardana ACMA (UK), CGMA as Country Head for Sri Lanka.

In this role, Tharindu will lead CIMA's work in Sri Lanka and support the growth of the finance profession across the country. He will focus on building partnerships with employers, universities, regulators, and government to strengthen the pipeline of future business and finance professionals across the region.

Over the years, Tharindu has worked closely with key stakeholders in Sri Lanka and has played a steady role in promoting the value of management accounting. He is committed to helping individuals build the right skills and helping businesses find the right talent to compete in today's environment.

He is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (UK) and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. Tharindu also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Information Technology.
