EIS Expands Deployment of Flexxbotics Software for Factory-Wide Autonomous Process Control Rollout

Boston, MA - March 12, 2026 - Flexxbotics, the autonomous manufacturing platform leader, today announced that Engineered & Industrial Solutions (EIS), North America's leading speciality fabricator, converter, and distributor of electrical process materials and related parts, will scale the Flexxbotics solution for autonomous process control across 91 workcells in its flagship SIS facility to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve sustainability.

As part of the EIS Industrial Digital Transformation Initiative (IDTI), Flexxbotics factory-wide rollout establishes greater visibility into workcell performance, production efficiency, downtime issues, and actual parts produced compared to the quoted part rate. By connecting plant machines with enterprise IT systems to enable a real-time data control plane, supervisors gain immediate insight to make data-driven decisions on the factory floor while accurate part-rate characterization enables better quoting, profitably analysis, and predictive improvements.

Flexxbotics enablement of autonomous process control creates a fully connected and digitalized manufacturing environment where order prioritization, margin optimization, and operational decision-making are driven by live production data. Bringing equipment data together with business systems establishes the closed-loop feedback required for EIS to achieve greater levels of autonomy across the entire plant. With Flexxbotics multiple active production orders are tracked simultaneously across factory workcells with data flowing directly into the ERP system for real-time performance, part rates, and machine data without manual intervention.

Flexxbotics open connectivity to a wide range of IT systems future-proofs the factory for further digitalization initiatives involving other solutions. With Flexxbotics in place, adding new automation becomes straightforward as well, turning robotic enablement from a complex leap into a scalable, repeatable step toward greater manufacturing autonomy.

"Flexxbotics provides us with better data-driven operations across our manufacturing footprint," said William Hoose, General Manager of SIS, an EIS company. "Flexxbotics deploys quickly so we gain insight accuracy and closed-loop capabilities for autonomous process control at scale."

Flexxbotics was initially deployed on six robotic automation cells to help identify, diagnose, and provide resolutions to major downtime issues for continuous operation with ROI achieved in less than six months.

EIS expanded deployment of Flexxbotics based on the following criteria:

Autonomous Process Control - Flexxbotics ability to pinpoint performance issues and take action autonomously for precision manufacturing repeatability.

Rapid Deployment - During the initial rollout, Flexxbotics was installed on six automation cells before lunch avoiding downtime during rollout.

IT Systems Connectivity - Flexxbotics secure connectivity with EIS's existing and future enterprise IT systems provides a unified, real-time data flow.

Controller Interoperability - Seamlessly connects and orchestrates over a 1000 makes & models of factory machines and automation equipment.

Automation-Ready Foundation - With Flexxbotics deployed, adding automation becomes a standardized and scalable process toward greater manufacturing autonomy.

EIS has grown to be North America's leading specialty fabricator, converter, and distributor of electrical process materials and related parts serving transformer, electric motor, and other electrical equipment manufacturers and their aftermarket, along with electronic, alternative energy, and eMobility markets.

Flexxbotics solution digitalizes production with autonomous process control for next generation smart factory autonomy. Flexxbotics breakthrough, the unique FlexxCORE™ technology, seamlessly connects and coordinates factory equipment, automation, IT systems and people.

"When an entire factory runs on Flexxbotics, the value compounds fast," said Tyler Bouchard, Co-Founder & CEO of Flexxbotics. "Every connected workcell makes the next one smarter, creating a network effect that elevates performance across the whole operation. This expansion with EIS shows what's possible when companies move from isolated automation to a unified control plane factory-wide."
