The WFTU has reached an agreement with the Research Institute "Promitheas" to digitize its physical archive located in Cyprus. This agreement constitutes the continuation of the efforts of the past 20 years to preserve the archive and ensure its accessibility to trade unionists and researchers.
The digitization and categorization of the physical archive is expected to be completed by January 2027, ensuring the preservation of the archive and opening up the potential for its accessibility.
The Physical archive of the WFTU Following a decision by the WFTU Secretariat in 2021, it was transferred to and is now maintained at the PEO headquarters in Cyprus. It includes archival material that was located in Prague until 2005, as well as physical archival material from the period 2006-2022.
From 2022 onwards, the entire WFTU archive (publications, correspondence, minutes, resolutions etc.) is maintained in digital form.
