The City of Valdosta is pleased to announce the launch of a new Utility Billing Software System on July 1, 2026, designed to improve the customer experience and provide enhanced online account management features for utility customers.
As part of the transition to the new system, customers who currently pay their utility bills online will be required to create a new online payment account on or after July 1, 2026, to continue accessing online payment services.
To facilitate the software conversion, the City's online payment portal will be unavailable from June 19 through July 1, 2026, for scheduled maintenance and system upgrades. Customers will not be able to make online utility bill payments during this period. If any utility bill payments are due between June 19 and July 1, 2026, no late fees will be assessed.
To prepare for the software conversion, the City of Valdosta Customer Service Division will be temporarily closed on the following dates:
While the Customer Service office will be closed to in-person transactions during these dates, customers may still contact staff by phone or email during normal business hours. If any utility bill payments are due during these closure dates, no late fees will be assessed.

"This software upgrade represents an important investment in improving the services we provide to our utility customers," said Interim Finance Director Darquita Williams. "We encourage customers who utilize online bill payment to prepare for the transition by creating their new online payment account beginning July 1. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we work to implement a more efficient and user-friendly billing system."
The new Utility Billing Software System will provide customers with improved account management tools and a more modern online payment experience.
Additional information and instructions for establishing new online payment accounts will be shared through the City's website and official social media channels as the launch date approaches.
