Lindenwood University has been recognized by Colleges of Distinction for its commitment to serving veterans and active-duty students. Awarded by Colleges of Distinction, this honor highlights Lindenwood's building of a campus environment where military-affiliated students can thrive both personally and professionally. Lindenwood was the only university in Missouri to receive such recognition.
While more veterans and service members pursue education every year, not all universities provide the unique services that these students need to succeed. The recognition highlights Lindenwood's dedication to removing barriers to education and providing individualized pathways to success for those who have served.
Chief Operating Officer at Colleges of Distinction Tyler Schritter commended the University treating military students as individuals rather than a statistic. Criteria considered in Lindenwood's recognition include:
"As a Military Support College of Distinction, Lindenwood has proven itself as a place where military students aren't just welcomed-they're championed," Schritter added. A proud "Yellow Ribbon School," Lindenwood strives to put students first by building a supportive community where military-affiliated students can succeed.
