Ramp Closure for Bridge Repairs on I-84 Eastbound Exit 20 Offramp in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that bridge repairs on the I-84 eastbound exit 20 offramp to Route 8 northbound in Waterbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, October 13, 2025 and be completed on Friday, October 17, 2025. This project ensures the bridge remains in a state of good repair.
This project is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
I-84 eastbound exit 20 to Route 8 northbound offramp in Waterbury will be closed nightly on Monday, October 13 to Friday October 17, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Detour signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
