Ongoing Reverse Traffic Management at the Cummings Skyway Overpass near I-80 in Crockett Is Coming to an End

Contra Costa County - Caltrans announces that the 24/7 reverse traffic control at the Cummings Skyway Overcrossing near I-80 in Crockett is coming to an end. The reverse traffic control will be discontinued by the evening commute on Monday, April 20, 2026. Motorists should expect normal traffic operations to resume following this change.

Crews are scheduled to begin removing temporary fixtures on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 7 AM. Minor delays may occur, so motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel. For your safety, please follow all posted signals.

This work was part of a broader infrastructure improvement effort and that required multiple lane and ramp closures in the area.

All work is subject to change, weather and field conditions permitting.
