Charlotte County, Fla. (Jan. 14, 2026) A Hydroponic Gardening Workshop will be held twice from 1- 2:30 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24 at Centennial Park. Participants will learn how to grow their own hydroponic lettuce in a non-circulating system. This simple home-made unit uses a hydroponic bucket design geared for backyard vegetable gardeners that is perfect for small spaces. Participants will learn the principles of hydroponic production using this easy-to-build model. Each participant will take home a complete kit with seedlings. This hands-on workshop will be taught by Master Gardener volunteer Bob Prier, a hydroponic practitioner.
