Adopt-a-Drain Program Kicks Off!

The City of Kettering's Adopt-A-Drain program provides community members with a simple yet impactful way to help keep the city clean and prevent neighborhood flooding. As a volunteer, you'll be responsible for inspecting your adopted drain and clearing leaves, debris and trash from the drain grate and the surrounding 10-foot area before predicted storms and four additional times throughout the year. This easy community service opportunity requires just basic household items like gloves, a rake and waste bags. It helps protect our local waterways and wildlife while preventing street flooding caused by clogged drains. Whether you're an individual, family or organization looking to make a positive difference in Kettering, adopting a drain is a convenient way to take leadership in your community and contribute to our city's beauty and functionality. Join your fellow Kettering residents in this important initiative.
