International relations major Chloe Walker (Pardee'27) describes her major as the study of the economies, governments, and institutional structures of countries around the world. Political science major Astrid Newton (CAS'27) views the scope of her field of study similarly, although with a specific, domestic focus-on US history, policy systems, and as she puts it, "what the future of our country is going to look like, politically."
In the latest installment of our video series Compare Mode, which pairs two Terriers from related majors exploring what makes each unique, the two sophomores discuss how their majors are similar and how they differ. They talk about what their classes are like, the volume and content of homework, and how they can apply the skills acquired in their major in the real world. Last, they discuss their career aspirations.
