Construction To Begin On New 18b Las Vegas Arts District Parking Garage

Groundbreaking Ceremony Scheduled For 9 A.M. Wednesday, July 30

A new 500-space parking garage is set to begin construction at the corner of Casino Center Boulevard and Utah Avenue at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 30. A groundbreaking for the new garage with Mayor Shelley Berkley and Ward 3 Councilwoman Olivia Diaz will mark the beginning of the work.

The new garage will be located at the former surface lot site at 201 E. Utah Ave. and will bring additional parking options for the growing and popular 18b Las Vegas Arts District.

The new five-story parking garage is expected to be completed in August 2026. The main garage entrance will be on Casino Center with a second entrance in the alley south of Imperial Avenue. The 500 parking stalls in the garage will include up to 50 spots for electric vehicle charging.

The project also will include approximately 10,000 square feet of retail space for new business opportunities in the Arts District, as well as new public art installations.

During construction, there are alternative off-street parking locations south of Charleston Boulevard that are operated by the city of Las Vegas as shown on this map. Visit online for monthly parking permit options available at various surface lots and garages throughout downtown Las Vegas.

The contractor on the project is Whiting-Turner, and the project has a construction budget of $25 million, with funds provided by the city of Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency.
