The Nipomo Community Plan, adopted in 1994, is the visionary and strategic plan for Nipomo. It guides actions to improve transportation circulation, parks and recreation, housing supply, public services, community facilities, and infrastructure. The update effort began in May 2025 and included multiple surveys and community workshops. Throughout the update process, Nipomo community members highlighted several key priorities:

  1. Community services that enhance livability for current and future residents,

  1. Pedestrian connectivity to support safe routes throughout the community,

  1. Transportation choices that facilitate non-automobile transportation, and

  1. Infrastructure improvements that relieve traffic congestion.

Please join us on November 8, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Nipomo High's Olympic Hall for The Final Round Up - the final community workshop. For more information, please see www.slocounty.ca.gov/nipomoupdate.
