TRAFFIC CABINET REPLACEMENT AT 10TH ST. & THAIN RD. 4/1/25

The City of Lewiston Public Works Department will replace a traffic signal cabinet at the intersection of 10th Street and Thain Road. Work is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:30 a.m. on April 1, 2025.

Traffic Impact:

  • 10th Street at Thain Road will be closed to through traffic.
  • Access to Warner Avenue, Arby's, and Chevron from 10th Street will remain open.
  • No through traffic will be allowed to cross Thain Road.

This project replaces critical infrastructure that was severely damaged on May 31, 2024, when a driver collided with the signal cabinet and power supply (pictured). The driver was later charged with two counts of striking fixtures and one count of failing to notify law enforcement of the incident.
