ATLANTA - State Representative Park Cannon (D-Atlanta), along with 23 members of the Fulton County House and Senate Legislative Delegations, recently wrote a letter to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners urging them to reject the nomination of two additional nominees to the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections. The lawmakers will attend the Board of Commissioners meeting tomorrow - Wednesday, September 3 at 10:00 a.m. - and are encouraging the public to stand with them in support.
"These are not neutral administrators - they are active participants in a partisan scheme to undermine public confidence in elections," the lawmakers expressed in a written letter. "We plead that you do not give in to the conspiracy theorists, to the liars and to those who are seeking to bully you into submission."
Fulton County legislators encourage the public to attend this meeting by arriving to the Fulton County Government Center in Atlanta no later than 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in order to express support.
The following members will be participating in tomorrow's meeting: State Representatives Michelle Au, Esther Panitch, Shea Roberts, Betsy Holland, Inga Willis, Bryce Berry, Stacey Evans, Park Cannon, Phil Olaleye, Sheila Jones, Mekyah McQueen, Tanya Miller, Kim Schofield, Robert Dawson, Lydia Glaize, Derrick Jackson, Debra Bazemore and State Senators Josh McLaurin, Donzella James, Jason Esteves, Nan Orrock, RaShaun Kemp and Sonya Halpern.
