Key Research Presented by American Cancer Society Experts at 2025 ASCO Quality Care Symposium
ATLANTA, October 8, 2025 - Scientists from the American Cancer Society (ACS) are presenting research studies at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Quality Care Symposium (QCS), October 10-11 in Chicago, IL. ASCO QCS offers research and education that encompasses the needs and viewpoints of multiple disciplines and various practice settings, attracting oncology professionals from around the world. This year's program will feature studies complementing the meeting's theme: "Partners in Care: Building Bridges Through Shared Decisions."

Also at the conference, Dr. Robin Yabroff, scientific vice president, health services research at the American Cancer Society, will be honored with the 2025 Joseph Simone Quality Care Award and Lecture. Dr. Yabroff has leveraged her advanced training in epidemiology and economics to conduct policy-relevant research related to cancer care and outcomes.
Her research exemplifies the spirit of the award, which was created to recognize an extraordinary individual who has made multiple, significant, and enduring contributions to the quality and safety of cancer care.
Additionally, Dr. Margaret Katana Ogongo will receive a 2025 Quality Care Symposium Merit Award. The award recognizes first authors on top-ranking abstracts selected for presentation at the symposium, highlighting their research advancements within the cancer care community.
