Indian Navy’s Assistant Chief of Naval Staff Meets Defence Secretary

Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula, Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation & Intelligence) of the Indian Navy, paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence today (13 January).

The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and to explore avenues for further strengthening bilateral defence cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of sustained engagement and enhanced collaboration in the maritime and broader defence domains.

Officials from the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka, including the Defence Attaché, were also present at the meeting.
