ATM Compliance, Windows 11 & Industry Updates

With nearly 75% of the nation's estimated 500,000 ATMs in need of a Windows 11 upgrade, credit unions face important decisions about their ATM fleets, equipment investments, and long-term technology strategies.

MD|DC Credit Union Association, in partnership with Dolphin Debit, will host ATM Compliance, Windows 11 & Industry Updates on December 9, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET. This webinar will help credit unions understand the latest industry developments, prepare for upcoming compliance requirements, and evaluate the decisions that could affect their ATM and Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) fleets.

As many credit unions begin budget planning, now is an important time to assess existing equipment and consider future needs. In addition to Windows 11 upgrades, several major ATM manufacturers have models approaching end-of-life within the next 12 to 24 months. Once these models reach their sunset dates, manufacturers may no longer provide parts or software upgrades, creating additional considerations for credit unions.

The discussion will cover key factors to consider when planning for the future, including current fleet capabilities, equipment selection, replacement costs, and the potential transition to ITMs. Attendees will also learn how expanding ATM transaction capabilities can help reduce teller-line traffic, improve operational efficiency, and provide members with greater access to services beyond traditional branch hours.

Whether a credit union operates two ATMs or 200, having a clear strategy is essential to maintaining secure, reliable, and cost-effective services for members.

Credit union professionals are encouraged to join this session to gain valuable insights and prepare for the technology, compliance, and budget decisions ahead.
