Route 143 in Wayne and Iron Counties Reduced for Pavement Preservation Treatment

SIKESTON - Route 143 in Wayne and Iron Counties will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement preservation treatments. Flaggers and a pilot car will be in place to guide traffic.

This section of roadway is located from Route 34 in Wayne County to Route 49 in Iron County near Des Arc, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, May 20 through Tuesday, June 5 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
