ADM Advances Protein Innovation with New Ingredient Solutions

ADM expands portfolio with eight diverse, regionally sourced soy and pea protein solutions, supporting global customers

CHICAGO-ADM (NYSE: ADM) today announced its continued investment in protein innovation with the launch of eight new protein products in North America and Europe, reinforcing its commitment to advancing high-quality, plant-based solutions. This strategic focus reflects the company's dedication to meeting evolving consumer demand for nutritious and diverse protein sources.

Increasingly, consumers seek a wider variety of protein options that align with dietary preferences, lifestyle goals and environmental considerations. Globally, 66% of consumers look to increase their protein intake1, and 86% state it's healthier to get protein from a wide variety of sources.2 Plant-based proteins, particularly soy and pea, are key drivers of this shift, offering versatility, strong nutritional profiles and scalability.

"Protein is one of the most dynamic areas of nutrition, with consumers now asking for more variety, functionality and choices than ever before," said Greg Dodson, Vice President, Protein, North America, ADM. "With new ingredient introductions and expanding capabilities in facilities across the globe, ADM is uniquely positioned to not only meet that demand at scale, but to also help shape the future of protein innovation."

New Protein Product Launches
• ProFam® 883 - Soy protein isolate with clean taste, high solubility and dispersibility for ideal smoothness and great-tasting, protein-rich beverages and powders.
• ProFam® 894 - Soy protein isolate with clean taste, light color and medium viscosity, ideal for Greek-style yogurt alternatives, yogurt drinks and dairy alternatives.
• Arcon® IH - Lower viscosity, functional soy protein concentrate designed to support formulation cost-in-use while maintaining the texture and juiciness consumers expect in applications like ham and pork chops.
• Arcon® SB - Soy protein concentrate delivering texture and functionality while improving product yield cost effectively in applications including sausages and ground meat applications like meatballs and taco meat.
• Arcon® 412 - Cost-effective soy protein concentrate supporting optimal texture and juiciness in many meat applications like deli meats and chicken nuggets.
• Pea Flour - Pea flour that requires no allergen labelling with neutral color and flavor for minimal formulation impact, and contains fiber to help food manufacturers address nutritional demands. This ingredient works well in applications like batters and breadings along with baked goods and cereal, with the added benefits of being gluten-free and non-GMO.
• European-sourced Arcon® R - Soy protein concentrate with clean taste, neutral color and versatile functionality through different available sizes (coarse, 100 mesh, 200 mesh) and supporting high and low moisture extrusion, meat alternatives, meat extension, bakery applications and dry extrusion.
• European-sourced Arcon® T - New portfolio of textured soy protein concentrates providing clean taste and formulation flexibility through diverse structure choices and designed for extended meat products and plant-based alternatives.

Expanding a Legacy of Innovation
ADM's legacy in plant-based proteins dates to the 1960s and starts with soy, introducing the world's first textured vegetable protein (TVP®). The company continues to evolve and diversify its soy portfolio with a specific focus on isolates and functional concentrates to help customers address both supply and consumer demands in specific regions, including in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as North America and South America.

Ongoing efforts in soy and pea protein development are designed to deliver functional, high-performing ingredients that support a wide range of applications - from meat alternatives, extensions and hybrids or blends to dairy alternatives, beverages, baked goods, snacks and specialized nutrition products. By enhancing taste, texture and nutritional value, the company aims to enable its customers to bring differentiated products to market more efficiently.

"By expanding our protein portfolio, we're giving customers more precise, functional solutions that will perform across a wide range of applications," said Tony Payne, Senior Director, Creation, Design, and Development, ADM. "This is about delivering choice, and giving consumers access to protein sources that are backed by decades of plant-based expertise and global innovation.

"From our state-of-the-art, 36,000 square-foot protein solutions center in Decatur, Illinois, to our innovation center on the grounds of Wageningen University in the Netherlands, our SojaProtein facility in Serbia and our Customer Creation & Innovation Center in Hortolândia, Brazil, our regionally sourced supply of plant proteins ensures that we can deliver consistent, high-performing solutions tailored to local market needs," continued Payne.
