January 28, 2026- Harrisburg, PA
Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis, Secretary of Administration Neil Weaver, Secretary of General Services Reggie McNeil, and Public Utility Commission Vice Chair Kimberly Barrow will join child care staff, teachers, and parents at the Keystone Early Learning Center (KELC) to celebrate the facility's expansion and ribbon-cutting, which increases access to child care for Commonwealth employees.
The expanded child care capacity will help meet growing demand from state employees with young children and is part of the Shapiro-Davis Administration's broader effort to support working families, attract Pennsylvanians seeking a career in public service, and build a more competitive Commonwealth workforce. The expansion advances the goals of Executive Order 2024-01, signed by Governor Josh Shapiro, which established the Hire, Improve, Recruit, Empower (HIRE) Committee to expand opportunity in public service, strengthen the state workforce, and modernize state government.
