Today's European landscape, influenced by external and internal factors, and by the growing geopolitical instability, has become more polarised. This polarisation creates vulnerabilities, both for local communities and their institutions, and at the central level, risking governments' perceived legitimacy and participatory mechanisms.
In this context, the 3rd meeting of the Thematic Panel 4 of the EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation, titled "Local resilience building: Understanding challenges and strengthening democratic foundations", took place online on the 30th of September, 2025.
