American Airlines will return nonstop flights from ABE to ORD

(Hanover Township, PA) - Every travel experience is better with flight options.

On Thursday, January 22nd, American Airlines announced the return of nonstop service from Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) to Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) starting May 21, 2026.

American Airlines' service between ABE and ORD is scheduled to operate daily as follows:

Departures from ABE to ORD: 6:00 a.m. and 5:18 p.m.


Arrivals to ABE from ORD: 4:48 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.

American's existing service at ABE includes two daily nonstop flights to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and six daily roundtrips to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) aboard Landline Motorcoach.

"Strengthening our connection with ORD brings significant benefits to the Lehigh Valley, offering travelers more convenient flight options and expanded access to West Coast and international destinations," said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

Last year, Lehigh Valley International Airport posted its highest passenger traffic volume on record with 1,067,114 travelers using ABE.
