REMINDER CLOSURE scheduled for repaving on WB I-470 from Raytown Rd. to Hickman Mills Dr, July 25-28

REMINDER: JACKSON COUNTY - Crews will CLOSE WB I-470 from Raytown Rd. to Hickman Mills Drive from 8 p.m. on Friday, July 25 until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 28.

The following will be CLOSED from 8 p.m. on Friday, July 25 until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 28:

  • Westbound I-470 will be closed from Raytown Rd. to Hickman Mills Drive.
  • Ramp from WB I-470 to Blue Ridge Blvd. will be closed.
  • Ramp from Blue Ridge Blvd. to WB I-470 will be closed.
  • There will be no access to WB I-470 from Blue Ridge Blvd.
  • Access to WB I-470 from Raytown Road will be CLOSED. (There will be no access to WB I-470 from Raytown Road.)
  • The exit ramp from WB I-470 to Raytown Rd. will remain open.

A suggested detour for this work is WB I-470 to MO 350.

This work is part of a project to resurface EB/WB I-470 from Hickman Mills Dr. to Raytown Rd. in the summer of 2025.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
