Spring Leaf Collection Program Ending Friday, May 2

Fredericksburg, Texas - The City of Fredericksburg's Spring Leaf Collection Program will end on Friday, May 2.

Street department crews will continue to make regular passes through neighborhoods based on demand.

Started on March 24 in 2025, this bi-annual service is offered free of charge to all residential garbage customers to promote community beautification.

Residents are encouraged to gather leaves from their property and rake them to the street for collection. Please observe the following guidelines to ensure pick-up:

  • Rake leaves onto the street, 12 inches from the curb.
  • Do not mix limbs, twigs, wire, rocks, bricks, or other debris with leaves. These items can damage the collection equipment. If you cannot remove debris from your leaf pile, please contact the Street Department to arrange a special pick-up. A minimum fee of $100 will apply.
  • Avoid parking vehicles near leaf piles. The collection equipment cannot maneuver around vehicles and will be unable to pick up leaves.

Dates for the fall leaf collection will be announced at a later date.

For more information or any questions about the program, please call City Hall at (830) 997-7521.
