Help Shape the Future of Moody Avenue Park and Doctors Lake Park

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL. -- Clay County is looking at potential improvements to Moody Avenue Park and Doctors Lake Park, and we want to hear from the people who use them.

The Clay County Board of County Commissioners plans to apply for funding through the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program, or FRDAP, to help make improvements at both parks. Before those applications move forward, residents are invited to share their ideas, priorities, and comments.

For Moody Avenue Park, proposed improvements include replacing the existing playground with ADA-accessible playground equipment, replacing the rubber play-area surfacing, and improving underground drainage in the playground area. The County expects to request approximately $200,000 in grant funding for the project.

For Doctors Lake Park, proposed improvements include replacing the approximately 180-foot fishing pier, replacing a bulkhead, adding a kayak launch, and paving the parking lot. The County also expects to request approximately $200,000 for this project.
