TOPEKA - Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab announced today that all 105 Kansas counties have successfully completed their post-election audits as required by state law.
"I want to commend our county election officials for successfully completing post-election audits in all 105 counties," Schwab said.
The purpose of these audits is to verify that the hand count matches the vote count from the tabulation machines. Once each audit is completed, counties are required to submit their results to the Secretary of State's office for final approval.
"This is a testament to the hard work and preparation of our county election officials," Schwab said. "I am grateful to the clerks, poll workers, and volunteers who helped ensure Kansas voters could cast their ballots with confidence."
