Release of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Definition of ACT Employee – COVID-19 Emergency Response Volunteers) Declaration 2021

By way of Legislative Instrument F2021L01440, the Commonwealth Attorney-General and Minister for Industrial Relations has declared ACT COVID-19 emergency volunteers to be employees for the purposes of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

The declaration will be known as the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Definition of ACT employee - COVID-19 Emergency Response Volunteers) Declaration 2021 and will operate until cancelled at the request of the Chief Minister.

The Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Definition of ACT employee - COVID-19 Emergency Response Volunteers) Declaration 2021 came into effect on 12 August 2021.
