New Video: Schweikert Admits to Voting for Biggs' Amendment He Called a "Fraud" to "Fool Voters"

The Copper Courier highlights a new video showing Rep. David Schweikert admitting that he voted for a "fraud" balanced budget amendment meant to "fool voters" written by primary opponent Rep. Andy Biggs. He explained plainly, "this is part of the theater we do to fool voters."

Schweikert's comments are just the latest example of him making the GOP primary nastier by criticizing Biggs - despite the fact he shares the same failed and extreme positions.

Just recently, Schweikert attacked Biggs for ties to white supremacist and antisemitic groups, but a report found Schweikert's own campaign had also reached out to extremist groups.

"While David Schweikert desperately points fingers at Andy Biggs' attempts to fool voters, he's admitted he's an accomplice in the same scheme to screw over Arizonans," said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton. "In this nasty primary, Schweikert and Biggs continue to fight with each other, but the reality is they hold the same failed and extreme positions."
