Live music, food and carnival games will be offered at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point's 2nd annual Point in Time Festival.
The event will be held from 6-10 p.m., Friday, May 8, at the Iris Fountain, located between the Dreyfus University Center and historic Old Main building. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
According to Michele Miller, associate director of programs for the University Centers, the event is a celebration of the end of the academic year and is sponsored by Campus Activities and Student Engagement.
"The Point in Time Festival is a reimagination of an event we held in the past called Copper Fountain Fest," she said. "I'm excited that we're bringing something like that back for our students and our community."
The festival will feature performances by Wisconsin artists Soulercoaster, Art Stevenson & High Water and Joseph Huber. Students will operate activities, including carnival games and bounce houses.
"Campus Activities and Student Engagement's goal is to provide opportunities for our students to connect with our community and with each other," said Miller. "We hope the Point in Time Festival brings our neighbors to campus to celebrate another successful semester."
