MWRD received the Large Distribution System Award from the Kentucky/Tennessee AWWA
Kentucky/Tennessee AWWA Water Treatment Plant Award - Large Distribution System (Greater than 15,000 customers)
The Murfreesboro Water Resource Department's Operations and Maintenance received the Large Distribution System Award from the Kentucky/Tennessee AWWA on Tuesday, July 29th. The Large Distribution Award is for a distribution systems serving a customer base of 15,000 or more and is only given for one system in the state in which the conference is being held. This year's conference was held in Knoxville, TN. The award criteria include water quality, operation records, maintenance programs, professionalism, safety, emergency preparedness, use of innovative technology, system security, and staffing. Also, the utility cannot have received a notice of violation in the past year (excluding CCR violations), they are not eligible for the award.
