Edward Beckwith Elected to ACTEC Leadership Position

Partner Edward J. Beckwith was recently elected to the Executive Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is a national and international association of over 2,400 trust and estate lawyers and law professors who are committed to promoting the highest standards of practice, education and professionalism in the field of trust and estate law. BakerHostetler partners have been honored and active as ACTEC Fellows for most of the organization's 75 years.

This appointment is in recognition of Beckwith's years of service to the College and his national reputation as a dedicated leader in the counseling of high-net-worth families and charities. In addition to his practice, he is a lifelong innovator in the education and training of lawyers and law students. He has taught at the Georgetown University Law Center for more than 40 years, creating and leading a 10-credit graduate level course of study dedicated to the legal aspects of private wealth and charitable planning.
