LBPD SEEKS THE PUBLIC'S HELP IDENTIFYING RAPE SUSPECT, SHARES SAFETY TIPS

The Long Beach Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect in a rape investigation.

The preliminary investigation indicates that, on Jan 15. 2025 at about 1:00 a.m., a female adult victim was walking near an alley in the area of West 10th Street and Pacific Avenue, when she was approached by the male adult suspect, who sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Pacific Avenue.

Detectives believe the same suspect struck a second female adult victim in the upper body , later that morning, at about 9:00 a.m., in the 1200 block of Long Beach Boulevard.

The s uspect is described as follows:

  • Height: Approx. 5'8" - 5'9"

  • Hair: Medium-length dreads and facial h air

The LBPD would like to share the below safety tips for residents:

  • Be alert and aware of your surroundings.

  • Trust your instincts. Always See Something, Say Something.

  • Call Police Dispatch to report suspicious activity - 562.435.6711.

  • Call 9-1-1 for emergencies and to report crimes in progress.

  • When walking at night, walk in well-lit and populated areas, when possible.

  • If possible, don't walk alone; walk with another person.

The Long Beach Police Department urges anyone who sees the suspect to call 9-1-1 immediately .
