HEMET, CA - At the Hemet City Council Meeting on Tuesday, December 9, the City Council conducted its annual Council Reorganization, a scheduled process that includes nominations and appointments for Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem as part of the evening's agenda.
As part of this year's reorganization, the City recognized both outgoing and incoming leadership:
Mayor Linda Krupa and Mayor Pro Tem Joe Males will serve in their roles through December 8, 2026, helping guide City policy, priorities, and progress throughout the upcoming term.
During the meeting, outgoing Mayor Jackie Peterson received recognition for her service and dedication to the City of Hemet. Council colleagues and City staff expressed their appreciation for her leadership, highlighting her commitment to the community and notable contributions made during her term as Mayor.
"The City Council extends its sincere gratitude to Mayor Peterson for her service and leadership," said City Manager Mark Prestwich. "We look forward to continued collaboration under the guidance of Mayor Krupa and Mayor Pro Tem Males as we advance initiatives that support the well-being and future of our community."
