Aggravated Battery with a Firearm

(PEORIA, IL) On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at approximately 8:47 p.m., Peoria Police were dispatched to a local hospital after a male victim was dropped off by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the foot.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the 33-year-old male victim, who reported that he was walking near the 2600 block of University Street when an unknown male approached him and fired two shots, striking him in the foot. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

At this time, there is no suspect information available. This incident remains under active investigation.
